Qui sto descrivendo un'immagine: un uomo solo in una stanza seduto ad un tavolo con un giradischi che suona la Cinderella di Prokoviev, sta fumando una sigaretta, le ceneri si accumulano sul tavolo, fatto di cristallo dove in trasparenza intravede un volto femminile.
Visioni gli si intrecciano nella testa come una coltre di nebbia. Nella stanza vi è un armadio con l'anta semichiusa, e l'uomo percepisce l'oscurità che vi è dentro ma che non è nulla in confronto a quella che lo attanaglia.
Si volta verso la finestra con le gocce di pioggia condensate sul vetro, vede sorgere il sole, ma invece di trovare conforto si rende conto che l'unica cosa che succede è la sua ombra che si allunga!
